"Haas is shattering in a portrayal of self destruction ... He is Oscar Nomination-worthy and it’s among the best addiction performances ever put to film... - LAVENDER MAGAZINE
"Intriguing, provocative, and harsh, Meth Head is an A + effort in showcasing a fledgling lifestyle." - HORROR MOVIES UNCUT
"...an in-depth, no-holds-barred look at the addiction destroying people all across the nation. How it’s done, the depths people go to get it and the destruction it leaves in its wake are all shown in hauntingly graphic detail. It does way more than a pamphlet with graphic photos could ever do to stop addiction." - PHILADELPHIA EDGE
The film is in the process of transferring rights back to FilmMcQueen. We will be re-releasing the film April 1, 2022.

Winner of 12 festival awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Lead Actor Meth Head is the story of Kyle Peoples (Lukas Haas) who never wanted to be the man he has become in his 30's - stuck in a dead end job, engaged to a lover (Wilson Cruz) who is more successful than he, and saddled with a family that doesn't get him at all. When an innocent night of partying leads to a new family of friends and fun, Kyle sees an opportunity to escape from his reality.
Life seems pretty fucking awesome. Kyle, Dusty (Blake Berris) and Maia (Necar Zadegan) redecorate Kyle's apartment. The walls change color as often as Maia changes outfits. They share thoughts on life and God. They spend hours in thrift stores, vow to get off the meth then get high.
But Kyle's escape becomes his trap, the party is an illusion and the crystal is slowly killing him, physically and psychologically. When he finally bottoms out, no longer the kid his father once spoke of with pride, Kyle must choose: life or meth.
